Merry Christmas!

So this was the first Christmas that Tony has spent with my family! I was super excited for it too! We went to Parowan on Christmas Eve and just hung out with my family. Then that evening we had our traditional family dinner. Everyone came over, even Rocky's kids joined us this year! Joyce, Marie and my Mom all served us, we had a delicious ham and potato dinner! After dinner we all gathered and acted out the nativity and then we had our cousin gift exchange. Then we just all hung out until it was time to get ready for Santa! All the kids slept in the living room on the floor (we usually sleep in one of our bedrooms, but there are so many of us now that we slept out there! Let's just say the floor was so hard! We will figure out some way to make it work for us to fit in the bedrooms next time!) Well we all went to bed, Kendra kept saying "shhh, you woke me up!" Janice was even more excited than the little kids I think! Ha ha Well seven o'clock came around and Janice was trying to wake everyone up! We all told her to go back to bed! So seven thirty came and she tried again... we told her that when Kendra wakes up we weill go... Well Kendra must have been very tired! She didn't get up till eight! My Mom ended up coming in to see what we were doing! That NEVER happens! We always have to wake her up! Well after the kids finally got up we lined up and went down the stairs...don't worry Jamie thought it would be fun to go down on her butt, since her feet didn't want to hold her up this time! ha ha Well we all went down and saw what Santa brought! After that we ate breakfast, homemade cinnimon rolls and orange juice! Then got ready for Church. They had a Christmas program, lets just say it was very nice but very long! After church we all went and opened presents! It was really fun! We all just hung out and played with our new gifts! Then we went and made the rounds to see what our cousins all got! After that we had a nice Sunday/Christmas dinner! Then got everything gathered up to go home. Once we got back to Cedar we went over to Tony's parents and opened gifts with them! It was nice to be able to see them too and not have to drive to far! They got Tony some tools and a shirt and I got some very cute shirts too! And they framed our family picture! It was very nice! It was a great Christmas and I was glad to be with my family! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas like we did!

Early Nixon Christmas

This year all of of the Nixon kids were going to the in-laws for Christmas. So we had a mini early Christmas. All of the kids decided that it would be fun to make our gifts instead of buying them. So a few weeks before Chirstmas we all went up to Stansbury to get togther so we could see all of our creations! Saturday evening we all went to Salt Lake to go see the lights on temple square! It was beautiful! But very very cold! It was worth it though! After that we all went back to Sid and Mel's to open our gifts! It was alot of fun to see what everyone came up with! Todd made me a holiday plaque, you can change the plate for each season! I loved it! Melanie had Tony and made him a Boise State color quilt! It looked amazing! After that we all just hung out and enjoyed seeing family!

Thanksgiving Weekend!

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with Tony's side of the family! It was really fun! Everyone came down Wednesday night, and we all just hung out at his parents. Thursday we got up and helped make dinner and went on a few drink runs! KB had a "Free Refill" day so they all went up with their mugs to get drinks! ha ha Everyone was there for dinner plus Naomi's parents! It was delicious! After dinner we cleaned up and then went and shot guns for a little bit! It was fun! After that we all looked throught the Black Friday Ad's and then played games! I went home a little early because I had to be up at 4:30 for work! The next day I worked the morning and then we went adn took family pictures! It was quite the day! ha ha I am glad that we finally got some pictures though! Then us girls went and did a few last minute shopping sprees, and then came home and played games again! Saturday we went out target shooting again, this time with clay pigeons! It was a blast! It has been way to long since I have gone! After that we had lunch and everyone went home! It was a great weekened and fun to see everyone! We went to Parowan after and had dinner and did the candle light parade! Tony's first time! ha ha He still thinks we are a little weird but I love it! It is now offically Christmas! :) Today we went back to Parowan to listen to my mom talk in church and then had dinner! Now it is time to decorate for Chirstmas!!

Happy Halloween!

We all went to my Mom's house this year and carved our pumpkins! It was alot of fun! Mine kinda fell apart and had to have some "rods" put in to hold him together! ha ha then we just hung out for the night. Halloween night I had to work, so Kendra and Dillon came and trick or treated to Staples so I could see them! It was so fun to see how excited they were! Dillon didn't know what to do with so much candy infront of him! Let's just say I spoiled them a little bit! Then they went to see Uncle Tony at home and got some more candy there! Well after I got off work, Tony and I went to his parents house for pizza and to hang out. They always have their friends Jack and Jackie over for pizza and to hand out candy. So it was fun to see them! We actually had more than two trick or treaters this year so that was fun! Well Happy Halloween!!

Logandale, NV - Fourwheeling!

Our family went down to Logandale a few weekends ago! It was so much fun! We went down Friday afternoon. When we got there we went to the homecoming football game to watch our cousin Logan play in the band! They did an awesome job! Then we just went back to U. Ady's and chilled. The girls talked and the boys were making sure that the bikes were ready to go ride for the next day! Well the boys got up and went on a ride around the "loop" while the girls got breakfast ready! After we all ate we went out and rode! We went to some dunes that were close to his house. It was so much fun to ride again! I havn't been to the dunes since my Dad was around! It was fun to be on his bike again and to just have the whole family out riding! Mom even got on Dad's bike and had a little fun! It got to be pretty hot during the afternoon so we were all hanging out in the shade when we were riding, but it was well worth it! Well that night we went and had a Mexican dinner! It was so good! I miss having the homemade sause and beans! Let's just say it was delicious! Thank you Aunt Lisa, Mom and Aunt Julie for making it! After we hung out we had to come home so that I could be to work in the morning! Thank you Aunt Lisa and Uncle Ady for letting us stay! It was soo much fun!

Tony's Birthday!

October 3rd...

Yes, I am a very big slacker! I haven't posted for awhile, and figured I better before I get to far behind! Tony's birthday was last month. I took the weekend off so we just hung out Saturday we went down to St. George and went shopping for part of it, got him some new "sexy" jeans as he calls them. ha ha His birthday was actually on Sunday so I gave him the rest of his presents then, gear wrenches and head phones. We went and had dinner with his family that night and had Eclairs for his cake! I am horrible and forgot my camera... so sorry no pictures! The next weekend we went out to my mom's for his birthday dinner and presents... I did get one picture of that! :)

Labor Day Weekend!

This Labor Day weekend was a little different for me... There was no fair, or rodeo... just a little of this and that. Saturday night we had a family reunion up at Duck Creek. All the Forsyth side of the family went up there for camping, four wheeling, hunting and an awesome dutch oven dinner! It was delicious! We all just hung out and enjoyed the nice weather! There was a tree that was leaning enough that the top of it was touching the ground, so we had competitions to see who could walk across it first with out falling. The boys struggled a little bit but by the 5th or 6th time they finally made it across. Then I went... yes I made it on my first try! Tony was mad that I was better than him at something! :) Well Sunday we all hung out and had a delicious dinner made by Naomi. Then we went to Parowan that night and just hung out with my family. Monday morning we went back to Parowan for the Parade.. it was fun to see.. but kinda long! I was just glad I talked Tony into going! Then after that we went home and had a BBQ and rode four wheelers in the fields behind our house! Justin finally got my Dad's four wheeler running so it was fun to go ride with Justin on it! Brought back memories of riding behind my Dad! Justin is just as crazy as he was! My Mom even got on it and raced again! It was fun to see her out riding again! It has been awhile! Well Justin had to head back to Logan after dinner ... so we just hung out for a little longer and then came back to our humble abode! Happy Labor Day!

Eclair's

I just had to post that I made something from SCRATCH and I didn't ruin it! (it probably only worked because Tony helped.. but still) Tony has been bugging me for months to make him some eclair's they are one of his most favorite desserts ever... well we finally decided to make them. All from scratch! Even the frosting! ha ha the first batch we did ended up being little baby eclair's.. so we did a second batch and they were normal size.. now I just hope they taste as good as they look!

Baby Plant....

This is my new "baby" plant! So Tony has told me the whole time we have been married that before we can ever have kids I have to 1- grow a plant and have it live! 2- have a fish...that lives. 3- Get a dog,(Tony just really wants a dog) and keep it alive and in shape! And after I can accomplish these things THEN we can talk about having children. So I decided the other night that if I have to go through this list of things BEFORE we can even THINK about having kids, that I better get started! Especially if I have to keep them all alive! :) So we went to Wal-mart the other night and picked out a plant, pot and soil! We came home and planted our "baby" plant... now Tony says it is my job to keep it alive! We have had it for a week now and it is still alive! :) I think it might even been growing! ha ha so I guess wish me luck! Maybe someday soon I will have a little fishy!

Loves!

Tony started working at Loves in the Tire Shop last April. He has loved every minute of being there. He was with all of his friends, working outside, and working with his hands! All things that he enjoys! Well although he has loved it there, it is going to be a tough semester in school this year, and our brother in law Trevor found him a job at SUU working in the HVAC department with him! So he has decided to take it! Today was his last day working for Loves! I am sure he will miss his good times messing around with the guys, his FREE COKE!, and many more things but he is moving on, and hopefully this means that he will be a college graduate sometime in the near future! :) Love you Tony! Welcome Home Elder Call!

Justin came home from his mission in Santiago, Chille on August 16th! We were all super excited to get to finally see him after his two years of service to the Lord! He was supposed to be flying into the Cedar City Airport at 4:12 p.m. so we had all of our family and friends there waiting with signs and smiles to meet him! The little kids had their noses poked up against the glass watching the plane land and everything. My Mom was standing in the back ground like a nervous nelly! ha ha Well the plan landed, unloaded and closed up.. and no Justin! He had missed his flight! Well we talked to the Delta people and after a long run around we found out he got on the next flight into St. George. So we all hurried and drove down there as fast as we could! Well flying is faster than driving and he ended up beating us to the airport... he got off the plane and no one was there to greet him! We made it a few minutes later and were all very happy and excited to see him!! Well come to find out his baggage was lost so we were sitting there for about an hour trying to track it down! After that we were all starving so we went and ate at In-N-Out! One of our families favorites! Well Justin was only here for a week before leaving for Logan to start school again up at Utah State. So we had a fun filled week! We had a family BBQ with good ol "american" food! :) Justin got Dad's fourwheeler out and running! We went down to the temple and did sealings with our family! We went out to the Lake to wakeboard and wake surf! And we all just hung out and enjoyed our time together! Sunday we had all of our family and friends come up for a breakfast, then we all went to sacrament and listened to his homecoming talk! He did great! And his spanish is amazing! After that we had one last family dinner and sent him away for school! It was fun to have him home for a few days! I am just glad I can talk to him whenever I want to now! :)

August 14th would have been my Dad's 48th Birthday! It is kinda crazy how time has flown by! I just wanted to say Happy Birthday Daddy! We miss you!!

Rocky's Birthday!

I just couldn't resist posting this picture! It makes me laugh every time I see it! We all went to my Mom's house to have cake and ice cream for Rocky's birthday that weekend. Rocky and my Mom had gone to Las Vegas for the night to see the Blueman group (that is what us kids gave him and my Mom for their birthdays this year). So we celebrated a few days later. Well we sang him Happy Birthday! and he was all ready to blow out the candles.... well no matter how hard he blew the last 3 or 4 candles would NOT go out! It was so funny! He thought we were playing a trick on him! He finally got them to go out but it was a good laugh for us all! ha ha We love you! Happy Birthday Rocky!

Harper Rae's Blessing

Our cute little niece was blessed August 7th! We all went up to Stansburry for her blessing and to just hang out! We got there Friday night, little did we know that we would be up till 3 in the morning wondering if we were going to have to go to Provo and tow Brad the rest of the way! Saturday we got up and helped Brad fix his car, and then we made cake pops for the luncheon after! They turned out pretty cute! Later that day we went on the zip line, and did the go carts at the Miller Sport Way, it was way fun! Tony was enjoying himself a little to much on the track! ha ha Then Sunday we got up and went to Sacrament meeting for the blessing. After we had a luncheon at Sid and Mel's which was delicious! Then we came home! It was a fun weekend!

Birthday & Painting!

It was my mother-in laws birthday, in July, I know I am a slacker! We didn't really get to celebrate because of work and everyone being busy! But my father in law and I sang her Happy Birthday and let her blow out the candles that night! For her present from her husband Steve, we helped her repaint part of her house! It was quite the process! Moving all the furniture, taping, covering windows and floors, building scafoldings, and everything else that is included... we finally started to paint! Well lets just say after we let it dry, none of us really loved it! So we waited till the next morning to see if it looked any better... well it didn't.. so we talked Tony's mom into going back to the paint store and remixing some paint! ha ha so we started all over again and repainted everything again! Well after the second time it looked great and we all loved it! I think that Naomi is just glad to have her house back! Happy Birthday Naomi!

Lake Powell 2011

Well this year Lake Powell was a little different... Usually everyone from Tony's family is able to come but this year it didn't happen.. Mike and Annie were able to come for the first few days, then after that it was just his parents, Brad and then me and Tony... lets just say the boat seemed a little empty.. hopefully we can all be there next year! :) It was still a fun vacation though! We wake boarded and wake surfed a lot so that was fun! Well then the last few days the the water was pretty choppy and not the greatest, and then Tony ended up getting HIVES all over his body so when that happened we just decided to come home, a day early. Lets just say Lake Powell is Lake Powell and we will always love it no matter what... hopefully next year is even better! :)
